Privacy Policy
Effective April 28, 2026
SearchDiligently (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at https://searchdiligently.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information we collect
We collect three types of information:
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and any optional profile details you provide such as first name, last name, username, bio, and avatar.
- Authentication metadata. If you sign in with Google, we receive the email address and basic profile information associated with that Google account, as permitted by the scopes you approve. We do not receive your Google password.
- Usage data. As you use the Service we store course enrollments, lesson progress, quiz attempts, comments, flashcard activity, and personal notes you create. This data is associated with your account so we can show your progress and personalize your learning experience.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate your sessions.
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- To track your progress through courses, lessons, quizzes, and flashcards.
- To send transactional emails such as email verification, password reset, and important account notices. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
Sub-processors and service providers
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
- Google — optional sign-in via Google OAuth.
Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to maintain your session security. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your profile page. To request a full export or deletion of your data, contact us at rodolfovergara14@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify you by email.
